    • We will share in a time of celebrating The Lord's Supper together (through passing trays) and we'll have an opportunity to give back to the Lord.

  • LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR...SHARE YOUR FAITH

Luke 10: 25-29; 36-37 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus.

“Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” “What is written in

the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?” He answered, “‘Love the Lord your

God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with

all your mind’ and ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ “You have answered

correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.” But he wanted to justify

himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”

Jesus then tells him the story about the “Good Samaritan” after which he asks,

“Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the

hands of robbers?” The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on

him.” Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”

Go and do likewise? How do you love your neighbor as yourself? There are many

acts of “mercy” we can offer but what about sharing our faith? Have you ever

thought about Jesus telling us to “keep watch” because the day and hour is

unknown. Matthew 24: 40-42 “Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and

the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and

the other left. Therefore, keep watch, because you do not know on what day your

    Lord will come. “

How would you feel if on that day you were taken and someone you knew, “your

neighbor”, was not and you had never told them about Jesus. Sometimes it can

be hard to talk about our faith with co-workers, friends and neighbors. But that

doesn’t change our need to “keep watch” and to share our faith with those we

have contact with. A simple way to introduce your faith is to let them know you

believe in prayer, then offer to pray with them or for them. The offer to give your

time in prayer for their personal needs will certainly bless them and could

motivate them to want to know more about your faith, allowing you to share your

    story and the Gospel.

Share your faith, love your neighbor.
